O filme de ficção cientifica “Gravidade” lidera com 11 nomeações aos BAFTA 2014 (British Academy Film and Television Awards), os prémios de cinema mais importantes do Reino Unido. Conseguiu nomeação para as categorias de Melhor Filme, Melhor Filme Britânico, Melhor Realizador, Melhor Atriz (Sandra Bullock), Melhor Argumento Original, Melhor Fotografia, Melhor Banda Sonora, Melhor Edição, Melhor Design de Produção, Melhor Som e Melhores Efeitos Visuais. Seguem-se de imediato “12 Anos Escravo” e “Golpada Americana” com 10 nomeações cada um. A contemporânea fábula britânica “The Selfish Giant” conseguiu a nomeação para a categoria de Melhor Filme Britânico. Os vencedores dos BAFTA 2014 serão anunciados no dia 16 de fevereiro, numa cerimónia realizada no Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, em Londres.
