Já são conhecidos os nomeados para a 48.ª edição dos Annie Awards, os prémios mais importantes do cinema de animação nos EUA. “Soul – Uma Aventura com Alma”, da Pixar/Disney, e “Wolfwalkers”, dos estúdios Cartoon Saloon, lideram com 10 nomeações cada.
“Soul” compete pelo prémio de Melhor Filme de Animação juntamente com duas sequelas da DreamWorks Animation: “Os Croods: Uma Nova Era” (6 nomeações) e “Trolls: Tour Mundial” (4 nomeações); “Bora Lá”, da Pixar, com 7 nomeações; e “Os Willoughby”, da Netflix, com 6 nomeações.
Já “Wolfwalkers”, um “filme europeu relativamente pequeno”, como os cineastas o descreveram, com 10 nomeações, compete pelo prémio de Melhor Filme de Animação Independente.
“Para Além da Lua”, da Netflix, recebe seis nomeações e “Earwig and the Witch”, de Gorô Miiyazaki, dos Estúdios Ghibli, duas nomeações.
Os vencedores serão conhecidos a 16 de abril de 2021, numa cerimónia virtual.
