O musical “La La Land”, de Damien Chazelle, protagonizado por Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, John Legend e J. K. Simmons, lidera as nomeações com um total de 13 categorias. Segue-se o drama de guerra “O Herói de Hacksaw Ridge” de Mel Gibson com 9 nomeações. “Manchester by the Sea” e “Moonlight” contam com 7 nomeações cada um e “Jackie” conta com 5. Os vencedores são conhecidos a 19 de fevereiro de 2017.
