Os críticos de Los Angeles, Los Angeles Film Critics, preferiram “Amour” de Michael Haneke como o Melhor Filme de 2012, invés a “Zero Dark Thirty”, que venceu apenas o prémio de Melhor Edição. No entanto, foi “The Master” o grande vencedor, ao receber o prémio de Melhor Realizador (Paul Thomas Anderson), Melhor Ator (Joaquin Phoenix), Melhor Atriz Secundária (Amy Adams) e Melhor Design de Produção (Jack Fisk).
