Forte na temporada, ‘Tudo Em Todo O Lado Ao Mesmo Tempo‘, da dupla de realizadores Dan Kwan e Daniel Scheiner (‘Os Daniel’s) está em todas as nomeações do prémio, garantindo dez ao todo. A dupla de realizadores garantiu nomeações para argumento e realização, enquanto Michelle Yeoh e Stephanie Hsu foram nomeadas para atriz principal e atriz secundária, respectivamente.
Assim como o retorno de Brendan Fraser, o retorno de Ke Huy Quan foi muito celebrado. Para quem não está lembrando, Huy Quan destacou-se como Short Round em “Indiana Jones e o Templo Perdido” (1984) e Data em “Os Goonies” (1985). O vietnamita estava longe da atuação há décadas, mas alcançou destaque no longa dos Daniel´s, tanto que recebeu uma nomeação para melhor ator secundário.
Em segundo lugar, temos “Os Fabelmans”, auto-cinebiografia do icônico Steven Spielberg, o longa garantiu oito nomeações. Uma dessas nomeações foi melhor realizador e melhor argumento original, que ele divide com Tony Kushner. Michelle Williams também foi nomeada para melhor atriz interpretando a mãe da família, enquanto Paul Dano foi nomeado a melhor ator secundário por seu papel como pai. Na categoria Banda Sonora Original, temos John Williams, no que pode ser sua última colaboração com Spielberg.
Outros filmes que garantiram várias nomeações foram os poderosos dramas “Tár”, de Todd Field e “Aftersun”, de Charlotte Wells, com cinco nomeações cada. Além de concorrer a melhor filme e melhor realizador, Wells também concorre a melhor primeiro filme.
No mais, Austin Butler que impactou a comunidade crítica por sua interpretação de Elvis Presley em “Elvis”, de Baz Luhrmann, está concorrendo a melhor ator e prémio revelação.
